It is very important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically. By developing these attributes, they are able to relate with their clients and employees to better enhance their psychological, spiritual, and physical growth. With doing this you are also able to better yourself as well. Your clients are looking for a great and professional experience, and even more, their looking for you to give it to them. This will also provide them with the comfort of knowing that they’re in great hands.
While assessing my health in psychologically, spiritually and physically, I realized that I need a little work in some areas. I assessed my health with a score ranging from zero to ten. In psychological, I scored a five. Where I have a fare psychological background, I still have much room for improvement. After my deployment to Afghanistan, things changed for me in that area and I’m trying to find my way back. In spiritual, I scored an eight. I have a great connection with my faith and spiritually, but I believe we can never score a perfect score since no one is perfect. Every person always has room for improvement regardless of what it is. In physical, I scored a seven. I feel I am physically strong and always improving, but as I say with everything else, “There is always room for improvement.”
The goals I set for myself in each area are very fare and obtainable. By keeping my goals in reach, I will never feel discouraged because the goals are too great. My psychological goals are already being worked on. The second I noticed I needed help, I went after it. Because of that, I’m doing a lot better. My reach my physical goals; I am conducting physical training more often. To better myself is very enlightening, and I believe everyone should try it if they don’t already. My spiritual beliefs are very strong. My goals to better this are to have my spiritual beliefs flourish by teaching others and keeping an open mind. You cannot teach if you cannot receive. Baby’s crawled first, and then walks, then run, by taking that concept and using it to reach your goals; it would be very difficult to fail.
The strategy I would use to implement to foster growth in each area would have to be practice. There are different ways of practice. With spirituality, you can meditate or find enlightenment in prayer. Just the belief of something or someone greater can change the way we look at everything and also help them strengthen their health. As meditation deals more with spirituality, it can also be used as an exercise for physical, psychological healing and growth. Another thing you can do for physical is working out or yoga. Depending on what outcome you are looking for, these will also help.
To assess my progress for the next six months and longer, I plan on creating a food and workout tracker to track my process. By doing this, I can also maintain a schedule to fit in stress management time. That time can be critical to the working person with or without a family. I also plan on using the time better to relax more. We are always so stressed out and need that time to unwind throughout the day.
